Cheddar Cheese Loaf
This is a really delicious loaf cake.
With cheddar being the main ingredient, It added a slight salty taste to a normal sweet loaf.
If U don’t have a sweet tooth ... this is the type of cake U will enjoy eating.
I have been baking this cake pretty often… it’s really fast & easy.
Cheddar Cheese Loaf
(Adapted from Alex Goh’s Creative Making of Cakes)
What U need:
- 250g Butter
- 230g Sugar
- 4 Eggs
- 1tsp Vanilla essence
- 100g Cheddar - shredded
- 100ml Milk
- 280g Flour
- 1tsp Baking powder
Method:
- Preheat oven to 160C.
- Cream both butter & sugar until light & fluffy.
- Add eggs and cream till smooth & light.
- Add vanilla essence.
- Add shredded cheddar and mix till well combined.
- Add milk and mix well.
- Add shifted flour & baking powder and mix well.
- Bake in 160C oven for 60mins.
Note:
- I have changed the oven temp. from 180C to 160C...I prefer baking my cakes in a low heat oven.
- I recommend that U sprinkle shredded cheese on top before baking….this will create a crusty top.
- Also added vanilla essence to the recipe to give it more fragrance.
