Bacon Potato Cake

This is another easy to make family favorite. Great for brunch…or afternoon snack.
Or serve it on a bed of salad...it’s a meal on it’s own.

Even though potato is the main ingredient here…the result is still relatively chewy. U may add any meat U like…but from my experience, bacon tastes best.

Bacon Potato Cake

What U need:

  • 3 large Potatoes
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ cup Fresh cream
  • 200g Bacon-chopped
  • 1 large Onion-cubed
  • 120g Flour
  • 1tsp Baking soda
  • ½ cup Milk

Method:

  1. Skin & cube potatoes, boil till cooked.
  2. Mashed potatoes & add salt.
  3. Add fresh cream & mix well….leave aside to cool.
  4. Next fry the bacon till crispy.
  5. With the same pan, fry the onion till soft.
  6. Add flour & baking soda to the mashed potatoes & mix well.
  7. Mix in the bacon & onion.
  8. Add milk & mix until paste like.
  9. Heat pan with butter.
  10. Make a small ball of potato & drop into heated pan & flatten slightly to create a nice round cake.
  11. Serve warm…
