Corn Bread

Familiar & comforting.
This little bread makes a great snack and yet they’re decadent enough to kick start any morning. Original recipe here.

Corn Bread

Sweet Corn Bread

What U need:
  • 150g Flour
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 100g Sugar
  • ½ tsp Baking powder
  • ½ tsp Baking soda
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 egg - lightly beaten
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 1/3 cup Milk

Method:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  2. Combine the egg, sour cream, milk and butter; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
  3. Pour into a greased 8-in. square baking dish or muffin cups.
  4. Bake at 200°C for 20-25 mins or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  5. Serve warm.
